Blueberry & banana super smoothie

This is an easy one, but it's my current favourite so I thought I'd share! This is good if you're on the run around breakfast time, or perfect as a mid morning/afternoon pick me up. The oats and peanut butter provide that extra fuel to keep you going.

INGREDIENTS (serves 1 plus a bit leftover)

1 ripe banana (chilled is best, or even frozen peeled in chunks)

Around 10 frozen blueberries (can use fresh, but frozen are much cheaper!)

A handful of fresh spinach, or I like to use 1 lump of frozen spinach

200ml milk of your choice

2 tbsp rolled oats (optional)

1 tbsp peanut butter (no sugar, no salt are the best ones)

Couple of ice cubes (optional)

METHOD

Pop all the ingredients in your blender and give it a good whizz. Add a little more milk or some water if needed. Couldn't be easier! You can try other berries - it's your choice here!

TIP! If you have a bit of smoothies left over, how about popping it an ice-cube tray for smoothies frozen bites for your kids, or yourself?
