WHAT IS THE METHOD?
The MAMAWELL Method is a specialised programme for the postnatal body, promoting increased energy, fitness and strength whilst being mindful of the adaptations the body makes throughout pregnancy and childbirth. Easy to follow, informative and effective: the MAMAWELL Method empowers women who have become mothers to exercise in the most beneficial way for their body.
Eight 35-minute sessions including a warm-up, cardio and strength work.
Focused core, pelvic floor and slow flow videos complete the package.
Written content detailing some of most important factors to be aware of when exercising postpartum.
Advice and email support available.
The MAMAWELL Method isn’t about added pressure of getting back in to your pre-pregnancy jeans in record time, but is about finding energy, confidence and balance during what is a physically and emotionally intense time. Regularly fitting in a good workout is so beneficial both mentally and physically and aligns with NHS England’s advice on postnatal depression that exercising regularly “has been shown to help boost mood in people with mild depression”.
Safety of the postpartum body is of the utmost importance, and every exercise has been developed by postnatal specialist trainers. The MAMAWELL Method introduces cardio and strength circuits in every session as a way to challenge the body safely, increase fitness and release mood-enhancing endorphins.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
£5.99 per month for unlimited access to all the video and written content for as long as you wish. Your membership will automatically renew monthly until you decide to cancel. You just email firstname.lastname@example.org to cancel your subscription which will come into effect at the end of the payment cycle.
WHEN CAN YOU START?
The MAMAWELL Method is suitable to start as soon as you have been cleared by your GP for exercise. However, it can be started at any stage of your life, whether a mother or not.
The MAMAWELL Method runs over 8 sessions, with the videos progressing in difficulty. Although it is up to you how you chose to workout, we suggest 1 workout video per week repeated 2 or 3 times. Then move onto the next session the following week.
The videos are designed to be interesting even if you do them many times. The option of adding your own playlist to suit your mood makes every session unique and challenging.
Although we have designed what we think is the perfect combination of movements to give you energy and strength, the beauty of it is you have complete control over how you use the videos.
WHAT EQUIPMENT DO I NEED?
All workouts are designed to do at home with minimum equipment. You will need:
An exercise mat
A 2m long resistance band - go for strong resistance when purchasing, or start on a medium resistance and increase as you work through the videos.
A short circular looped resistance band - go for strong or very strong resistance.
Both the bands can be purchased from the MAMAWELL shop
